Whole-Body Physical Therapy

Tired of exercises that only help a little, feel disconnected from your actual pain, or leave you wondering whether you simply need to try harder? You are not broken, and more repetition is not always the answer.

Melissa looks beyond the painful area to connect the dots and identify the missing link or underlying driver. She considers how movement patterns, balance, breathing, coordination, previous injuries, and the nervous system may be working together. She may also explore commonly missed connections involving the visual system, jaw function, or sensory input.

Your care may include hands-on treatment, education, movement assessment, and a small number of targeted exercises chosen specifically for you. No generic routine. No endless repetitions. Just focused support designed to help you understand your body, move with greater confidence, and return to the activities you enjoy.

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Pelvic floor concerns can affect far more than the pelvic floor itself. They may contribute to discomfort in the low back, hips, SI joint, abdomen, or groin and can influence everything from sitting and exercise to intimacy and everyday movement.

Melissa has over 15 years of specialized pelvic health experience and supports women through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, menopause, and other changes throughout life. She also works with men experiencing concerns such as pelvic, groin, or low-back pain and persistent symptoms associated with prostatitis.

Treatment begins with a thoughtful evaluation and may include hands-on care, joint mobility, muscle release, education, and targeted exercises when they are truly needed. The goal is not simply to address one symptom, but to help you understand the connections within your body and create a realistic path toward improved strength, function, and comfort.

Therapeutic Pilates

Melissa has practiced Pilates for over 16 years and has incorporated its principles into her physical therapy work since becoming certified in 2009. Her approach extends beyond the exercises performed in the studio, helping you apply what you learn to everyday movement, favorite activities, and long-term recovery.

Therapeutic Pilates uses personalized, guided movement to build core strength, stability, balance, flexibility, mobility, and coordination. Each session is adapted to your current abilities and can help you safely bridge the gap between injury recovery, physical therapy, and returning to exercise or the activities you enjoy.

This is not a one-size-fits-all fitness class. It is thoughtful, individualized movement designed to help you feel stronger, move with greater confidence, and reconnect with what your body can do.

StemWave Therapy

StemWave offers a state-of-the-art, non-invasive regenerative approach for chronic joint pain, acute injuries, and soft-tissue concerns involving muscles, tendons, or ligaments. Focused acoustic waves help reduce chronic inflammation and stimulate your body’s natural healing response, without beginning with exercise, injections, or surgery.

Melissa combines StemWave technology with nearly 30 years of physical therapy experience to treat the painful area while also considering the movement patterns and underlying factors that may be driving the problem. StemWave can be used independently or alongside other services as part of a personalized care plan.
